Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
1Whisk the dry ingredients. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
2Cream the butter and sugars. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
3Add the eggs and vanilla. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
4Combine wet and dry ingredients. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
5Add the chocolate chips. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
6Scoop and bake. Scoop dough into 2-tablespoon portions and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 350°F for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Tips & Variations
