  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Oil, for frying
  • 2 teaspoons minced chives, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

    In a medium bowl, stir together the softened cream cheese, sugar, and onion powder until smooth and well combined.

    Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Add about 1 teaspoon of filling to the center of each wrapper.

    Brush the edges with beaten egg. Bring opposite corners together and pinch to seal, forming a small package. Repeat with the remaining wrappers.
