Cheesy Chicken Tater Tot Casserole
A crock pot family favorite layering tater tots, cheddar, chicken, and crispy bacon into one cozy meal.

Ingredients
- 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
- 1 pack cooked bacon, chopped
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup milk
- Pepper, to taste
- Onion powder, to taste
Instructions
1Spray the crock pot with nonstick cooking spray. Layer half of the frozen tater tots in the bottom.
2Sprinkle with 1/3 of the bacon and 1/3 of the shredded cheese.
3Add the diced chicken on top and season with pepper and onion powder.
4Add another 1/3 of the bacon and cheese, then top with the remaining tater tots.
5Finish with the remaining bacon and cheese, then pour the milk evenly over the top.
6Cover and cook on LOW for about 4–6 hours, watching near the 4-hour mark if using a newer crock pot.
Tips & Variations
- For an oven version, use a 9x13 dish and bake at 350°F for 1–1.5 hours.
- If baking in the oven, skip the milk.
- Cajun or blackened seasoning adds a tasty kick.
- Let it rest a few minutes before serving.
