Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1/2 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 can tomato sauce (8 ounces)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Hamburger buns, for serving
Instructions
1In a large skillet or saucepan, brown the ground beef and chopped onion together over medium heat until the beef is fully cooked and the onion is tender. Drain excess grease.
2Add the brown sugar, chili powder, honey, ketchup, mustard, white vinegar, and tomato sauce to the skillet.
3Season with salt and pepper to taste, then stir everything together until well combined.
4Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the flavors blend together.
5Serve hot on hamburger buns.
